Week 24

Well this week was another good week. We had another baptsim on Valentine's Day. So officially this was the best Valentine's Day ever haha, but this computer won't let me send photos so I will send a photo next week. His name is Vladamir (o bladamir, no se como escribir lo) or how to write it haha, but he is 10 years old. His grandpa baptized him and it was good to see him and another niƱa be baptized this day. So I had to give a talk at the baptism about baptism and felicidad (or happiness). It went really well I think because during my personal study this week, I studied this haha. So I think the lord was preparing me to share this experience I had during my personal study.
But anyways we got a new ward mission leader but I guess that doesn't really matter for me and my comp because we both are having changes... haha I don't know if they are closing our area or just bringing others here but I guess we will find out this Wednesday. haha. But I'm leaving Candelaria, almost 4 months here. A little sad becuase we have 2 more fetchas here that I can't be there for and want to put another on on for tomorrow. So we will see haha. but I will miss this area and the people here.
But this week was good. I'm ready to experience a new area and to meet new people. Hopefully I get a super chivo comp. haha and here in El Salvador chivo means cool and goat. So don't get mixed up;) haha!
Happy birthday last week to Jessie Peel, Jim and Kennedi Jenson, and Kylee Burrell and this week Jeff Stevens, Avery Porter and Brayden Flygare.
Well thanks everyone for everything you do for me and my family at home.
Love you guys,

Week 23

So this Saturday we have a baptism! woahhhh! This one is not another 95 year old man. He is 11 years old and his mom is a member but she is inactive and he never had the oportunity to be  baptized. So we are giving him this opportunity and his grandpa will help us bring him to church every week. His grandpa is super awesome. His name is nachito haha,. and he is 77. He is super funny and I love talking with him. So the good thing about this week is we put another fetcha for the 1st of March, but sadly I think I'm going to be leaving...but its ok. As long as she feels the happiness and joy she will receive after the baptism. That's the best part to see them super happy, but we will see next week if I have changes or not. I have been here in Candelaria for 4 months...so I think I will be leaving, but it's good to experience new cities. Well thanks for all your emails and prayers.
Love you all.

Week 22

Well this week was alright. We have quite a bit of potential in the future but I think I'll be leaving in 3 weeks... I'm kinda sad but kinda happy. I want to leave and experience new areas in El Salvador but the people that we have potential with I have grown so close to. It's going to be hard to leave them if I do have changes in 3 more weeks.
But anyways this week we did quite a bit of service for some people here. We put a new door up for a house, but it was super hard because they didn't have a firm wall. The wall is made out of dirt, so when we were putting it up it started to fall down. So she's gonna have to put more dirt up. haha but it took like 70 min. to put up the door and make it so the door could move and that the door wouldn't fall over with the wall. We put up tons of sticks to make the wall more firm. and we pushed a guy in this huge wheel chair thing that weighs like 30 pounds its self up a hill for like 3 quarters of  a mile and he weighs like 250 pounds. All I'm saying is that I was sweating a lot haha.
But whatever, I'm here to serve the people. I'll push him up that hill every week if he wants haha. But the sad thing this week, was one of the hermana's fetchas fell through... hopefully he will get her baptized this change, but thats about it haha.-
Well sorry the pictures wont load on to the computer, I'll send them next week.
Take care everyone and I love you all.

Coconuts are super good. This is the first time I tried them!
and this guy can't hear so we have to talk in sign language with him. It's hard but I learned a couple things. It's not real sign language but he understands haha. and he is a member, actually the brother of the bishop.

Week 21

Well this week we baptized an old man who turned 95 the day after. So we sang him happy birthday and got him a cake. We ate lunch with him and his family for his birthday and had such a fun time with the baptism and confirmation. The baptism was super funny because it took him like 5 min. to walk into the font haha and he wouldn't move into the middle for me to baptize him and then after I finally got him into the middle to baptize him he said he didn't want his whole head to enter the water haha. Everyone heard him and was laughing so hard and then he held his breath for the whole time I made the prayer. Then on sunday when he was going to get confirmed he said he didn't want to go up in front to get confirmed becuase he didn't have a white shirt and tie. haha but we finally got him to go up haha. Plus he can't hear very well and yells everytime he talks. So he is a very divertido (funny) persona haha.
But this week was spent with bastante momentos espirituales (quite spiritual moments). Super awesome! I can testify that it doesnt matter what you say, the people don't have to belive your words, but there is one thing that's super hard to deny, that is the spirit. Now there are people that still deny it and it's super hard to see them do this, but the other people I have so much love and so much feliz (happiness) for them, that they really want to change, that they really want to know.
This is what I loved this week.
Oh and I got another fetcha (date) for the 14 de february. :) Super happy. Hopefully 2 more fetchas this week.
Adios!
Love you all:)
