Week 31

Hey family and friends,
Well lets just start with that this week was awesome!!! Started with emailing this last Monday and I found out that my Bro. is a trainer. haha! I'm proud of ya man, and also Brody is a ZL, say what, haha man all the people from my class are killing it in their missions it sounds like. haha.
Well also this week we had the wedding and the baptisms of the family we have been teaching this last month or so. I'm super happy! So last week they couldn't get married because the papers of the wife didn't have the partido number and it was really frustrating to get those papers in one week, when we can't just leave to a city an hour away and take them out. So we had other missionaries do it and then they handed it over to our zone leaders, but don't worry, all is well and we got it all done. haha but they seemed so happy at the wedding and I know they will be a great family in the church. The dad was ready to go to church at 7:45 and church starts at 9, haha and then they fed the kids and came to church.
But also we saw another miracle in our area this week. The other week we were walking down the road and I see this kid Emerson who is always at the church and I thought he was just a hombre joven in our ward (or young man in our ward). But I started to talk to him and he said he wasn't a member and wanted to be baptized. So I was super happy and when we left I told my comp that we needed to go visit him the next day, but my comp was like well ya we could do it another day. Well that day never came, I have no clue why he didn't want to visit him...so I took the chance when I was on intercambios and my comp left to go visit this kid, and what happened___ well we put another fetcha of course. Ya me and another gringo that only has one more change than me. So ya it was pretty awesome that we put a fetcha. haha. But then yesterday we visited the kid that I talked to in the street Emerson, we talked about lesson 1 and about his baptism and in this lesson he had a friend there too, so we were like ok this is a new kid, we could try teaching him but need permission from his mom. So we taught them real quick and then the kid said that he has been to mutuals before and liked the church and that he was wondering if he could get baptized the same day as his amigo Emerson. haha! So we talked to his mom and she said if that's what he really wants then its totally ok. So it looks like we will be baptizing them both on the 10th of May, or also known as Mother's Day when I get to call my parents. Man this change couldn't get any better, I get to talk to my parents, a wedding and baptized a family, and want to baptize 3 more people this change by the 14th of May. I'm just a little worried about after this change, will I have people to keep teaching to keep baptizing or will I be hitting up every door again like last change to try to find people to teach...well we will just have to see.

Love you all and thanks for everything you do, I can't wait to speak with my family on the 10th and happy late anniversary on the 14th of April to my wonderful padres. Love you guys and hope all is well at home.

Week 30

Well this week was great, we had a baptism this Saturday and we baptized 3 people. I'm a little sad becuase our goal was 5 for this week but the papers to get married had problems. So we are going to marry the parents of the 2 kids this next week. Pray that all the papers are good and we can marrry them and that satan won't work with them to change their minds or anything like that:) haha.
But we have been preparing for the marriage all week, trying to find clothes for 5 people to be baptized and clothes for the marriage because they are super poor and don't have any nice clothes. But we also got to teach another hermana and her daughter. The husband is a member and just not the mom and the 2 kids and the mom had time to come to church this week and loved it. So we are hoping that we can put 3 more fetchas with this family for this next change or the last week of this change. Our goal right now for this change is to baptize 8 people and I hope all is good so we can do it. I know satan is working hard with them, I know with out a doubt. I have seen all the trials they have had in these last 2 weeks and its crazy how they continue to keep pushing forward. So please just pray that all will go good this week for the boda and love you guys and have a great week.

Week 29 (April 6)

Well one of my fellow missionaries wants to say hi. haha!
Well this week was awesome, we had a super busy week and was super fun. So this week also kinda felt like a pday all week. So this week we had the temple trip with our investigators, which was awesome, brought them to the temple and taught them about it. There were so many people there. As a zone we brought 50 investigators and our district brought 27 investigators.
This last change was awesome, as a district we baptized 17 people and have a goal of 20 people this change. Our district is on fire. We are finding so many people who want to change their lives and to grow closer to their Savior. I'm so glad for this area we are in right now. We have 5 fetchas right now, we are looking forward to this weekend to have 4 baptisms, a family. They are a family we found a coulple of weeks ago and the family really wants to change their lives. The dad was an alcoholic and he stopped about 7 months ago and has been looking for something more to help him grow closer to Christ. I'm so glad that I could help him just from talking to him in the street one day. He immediately gave us his address, or where he lived by because no one has addresses here, and told us to visit at a certain time. So we visited him right away, he wanted to go to church and be baptized.
I love the mission:)
Well also the other best part was this week we watched general conference. Something that I love more than anything to hear the words of living prophets and apostles today and to help our investigators know who is the prophet this day and have them gain a testimony of him and that we are not lost, we have a guide and that his name is Thomas S. Monson. He talks to god, he knows what we as children of god in this time, need to do, to grow closer to our heavenly father and what he commands us to do.

Gracias por todos de ustedes. y espero que tienen una feliz semana. adios!

Week 28 (March 23)

Well this week was so awesome. The best week in my mission:) me and my comp brought 10 investigators to church and only had like 8 people say they were coming haha so that was really good and as of right now we have 5 fetchas.:) Man I can't describe how happy I am right now. We have been working so hard and finally the work pays off. It's the best, but we have alot of investigaotrs preparing for the future to get baptized. We have 8 other investigator on top of the 5 that has a meta or goal for this next month coming up. haha!
But I know that the lord has been answering our prayers. I feel so happy that I get to see my work start to work and not only that but recieve more than what I wanted or expected.
I know that the lord is helping us here. I know that these people are making some of the biggest choices in there lives and the blessing they will receive from making these covenants with God will not only affect them but there families and the poeple that live around them also. I'm glad I have this opportunity to be here and to serve God. I'm glad for my comp, this area, and to be in this country:) I'm happy to get to know the people here and to help the make these changes in their lives.
Take care guys and I know that the Lord is helping all of us even when we don't see it yet, just wait and press forward and you will see all those blessings that the lord has for each and everyone of us.
Take care, love ya

Week 27 (March 16)

Well this week was actually pretty sweet. We met this new family and they are so prepared for us:) haha they are preparing to get married and baptized this 11 of April. This is a family of 3 and we have 1 other fetcha for the end of this month. We are super happy for the people that the lord has blessed us to teach. The baptism that was suppose to happen this last Saturday fell through becuase she need a little more time and she needs to leave her house with her boyfriend, but she wants to get baptized so bad. Just need to find a house for her to move into and 1 that is cheap haha. But this week I have learned that even tough I study Spanish a lot, I still have a lot of work to do. So I'm giving any extra time I have to study just a little bit more on the formation of the sentences and what words to use in what phrase and not in others. It's just a little complicated.. haha jk, but the hardest thing for me is I'm not very good at remembering things. So I just need to work on studying the same thing over and over again and hopefully I'll remember it. haha but everything is good here with me and my comp. We are working super hard to find the chosen people here in this area. I know they are here. I know they are prepared for us, just need to help them a little but more to make these covenants with God. But other than that todo chivo. Everything is cool!
Well I love you guys and hope you have the best week ever. :)
